Magic Sauce: The Healthy, Vegan, Fast & Easy Pesto You’ll Adore

I’ve been playing with this recipe for a few weeks and it’s so easy it’s not really a recipe. Grab the organic greens you love; put them in a blender or food processor; add garlic, onion, seasonings, olive oil, nuts & seeds. Blend. Enjoy.

My Magic Sauce as I like to call this vegan pesto is incredibly delicious and an amazing way to add a ton of fresh greens (nutrients! fiber!) into your diet. I’ll share some of my favorite herb combos below. It may sound funny but dipping wedges of red cabbage into the Magic Sauce tastes amazing. Taco crunch without the funny carbs. Add even more color with carrots and celery sticks. Raw dipping & dining at its finest.

Classic with a Twist

1 bunch basil

1 bunch cilantro

1/2 bunch spinach

1/2 bunch parsley

 

 

Crowning Glory

1/2 bunch arugula

1/2 radicchio

1/2 bunch spinach

 

 

Hardcore & Current Fave

1 bunch cilantro

1 bunch arugula

1/2 bunch dandelion

 

 

Bella Italia

Handful sundried tomatoes

Small bunch basil

1/2 bunch spinach

 

 

What to Add

{Love on your herbs with the following}

Juice of 1 lemon

1 clove garlic

Fresh ginger

Handful of nuts such as walnuts, brazil nuts, pecans, pine nuts

1/4 cup of hemp seeds

Generous dash olive oil

Dash MCT oil

Sea salt

Black pepper
